Adding New Schools

This page is for existing customers who are adding new schools.
Let's get started!

We are super excited that you are adding identiMetrics to more schools! We know this isn't your first rodeo and that you've been through our deployment before.​ There are still five steps to adding new schools but most of these will be a review to get you ready for this rollout. Complete each step in sequential order. Once you complete all five steps, you can begin using your identiMetrics!

Step 1 

Orientation and Communication

Even though you are already using identiMetrics in another school, we strongly recommend communication about the identiMetrics program.  Our communication material can be used as a starting point, then make it your own.  Use email, newsletter, website, US Mail or carrier pigeon to get the word out.  Don't forget to include the "How it Works" document which gives an excellent description of how the software works without using fingerprints.

  • Download Privacy Policy Recommendation

Since biometric data will be stored on your network, identiMetrics recommends you create a Privacy Policy. You can use our Recommendation, or develop your own.

Step 2

Deployment Planning

Step #2 is the Deployment Planning.  This is the part of the process where plans are made for a smooth and efficient installation.

When adding new schools, a top level service (TLS) will be added (the Distributor and/or the Biometric Engine.) Your identiMetrics Expert will do this portion of the installation at the installation appointment that you will schedule. 

 

You can install the clients (Scan Point, Enrollment App or Admin App).  Documentation can be provided. Alternatively, your identiMetrics Expert can do the entire scope of installation at your new school.

​Which ever direction you choose for installation at your school, use the checklist below to be get ready for your installation appointment.

No problem!  There's alot of information so we are ready and happy to assist you!  Here are two options to get your questions answered:

1. Schedule a Step 2: Deployment Planning Meeting.  This is a live discussion with one of our identiMetrics Experts. Here's how to schedule:​​

  1. Click on the "Contact Support"  link on the main menu of this page.

  2. Click on the 'Schedule an Appointment' button

  3. Select "Step 2: Deployment Planning" as your service, then a time that works for you.

 

NOTE: If this is your first time scheduling with us, you will need to select "New User" and set up an account to use our online scheduling calendar.

Step 3

Installation

Once you have completed Step #2 and are prepared and ready for installation, please schedule your installation appointment. Here's how:

​

  1. Click on the "Contact Support"  link on the main menu of this page

  2. Click on the 'Schedule an Appointment' button

  3. Select "Adding New Schools (Limit 3 computers/appt.)" as your service, then a time that works for you

 

NOTE: If this is your first time scheduling with us, you will need to select "New User" and set up an account to use our online scheduling calendar.

​​What to expect during the installation appointment:​​

​

  • This appointment will be a telephone call 

  • We will connect to your computer remotely

​

What you will need for the installation appointment: 

​

  • The computer you are planning on installing identiMetrics booted up and connected to the Internet

  • Admin rights to the computer(s)

  • The finger scanner(s) on site

  • The Import file correctly formatted and ready

Step 4

Enrollment Training

The users at your new school will need to have User Profiles set up and be trained on Enrollment and overall use of the software.

Step 5

Final System Check
